Free status page FAQs

Is VigilPing a free status page service?

Yes. VigilPing is free during beta. The free plan includes 25 monitors, one workspace, three probes, and 120-second checks. You can publish service health on a branded public status page. See our current plan for availability and details.

What is the difference between uptime monitoring and a status page?

Uptime monitoring checks whether services respond. A status page communicates the results to customers, together with incident explanations and planned maintenance. VigilPing brings both into one platform.

Can I use a custom domain and my own branding?

VigilPing supports custom domains, workspace branding, and theme settings for public status pages. Configure the domain in your workspace and follow the DNS instructions to point it at the service.

Which services can I monitor?

Monitor HTTP and HTTPS websites and APIs, IPv4 and IPv6 ping targets, TCP ports, and DNS resolution. Optional agents collect host metrics such as CPU, RAM, disk, and network usage.

Can customers see incidents and scheduled maintenance?

Yes. Public status pages show incident updates and scheduled maintenance alongside service health and uptime history. Use updates to explain the impact and let users know when work is complete.

Do I need to install an agent to create a status page?

No. Website, API, ping, TCP, and DNS checks run through monitoring probes. Install an agent only when you also want host metrics. Choose which metrics and monitors are public from your workspace settings.
